Just recently, my officemate had to rush her 3-year old daughter to Medical City's ER to take out a bracelet bead from her nose. My officemate relayed she was shocked to see how big the bead was (about 1/2 inch in diameter) for cute daughter to force it to her nose.
Other mommies in the office had their own tale to tell regarding those experiences their kids went through during their pre-school years. Kids normally stick their fingers on sockets, electric fans, swallow toys, jump from beds and etc...Mommies would go watch their kids every minute, saying "Don't touch this, don't swallow that" but kids would just go on simply because they are just kids..
But who would agree with me that even us adults act like these pre-school kids, only to a different degree of "kapasawayan".
• At times we already know we are going to burn badly, e sige pa rin tayo
• Sometimes we don't know just where to land and might have a bad fall, hala sige sugod pa rin
• Oftentimes we already know the consequences as advised by our parents, mentors, friends and even God, sige subok pa rin
Well, we were born that way, most of us learn from past hurts, mistakes and experiences (saying to ourselves we won't do it again!).
I was "pasaway" before...a good friend loved to call me that. Nonetheless, I am glad that I don't have to be a "pasaway" anymore in order to learn, to mature and live a life I have been wanting. I just have to look up to HIM, my greatest teacher and adviser, warning and gearing me up to overcome those traps and bumps of life.
